Action Express Racing finishes 1-2 in Detroit

Daytona Beach, FL - Action Express Racing captured the top two spots on the podium at round number five of the 2012 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. This event was extremely important to Action Express Racing because it took place in Detroit in the shadows of Chevrolet’s headquarters. Joao Barbosa and Darren Law took the inaugural Rolex Series win in the AXR #9 Corvette DP followed closely by the #5 Corvette.

Millville, NJ - The #5 Action Express Racing Corvette Daytona Prototype driven by David Donohue and Darren Law battled inside the lead pack all afternoon but finished just off the podium with a solid 4th place finish at the conclusion of the Global Barter 250 event. The #9 Action Express Corvette DP finished the event in 7th place after suffering damage to the car on lap #30.

Third place finish at Miami Grand Prix

Miami, Florida - David Donohue and Darren Law piloted the #5 Action Express Corvette Daytona Prototype to the podium through miserable conditions. Donohue started the race in the sixth position on the grid after qualifying was cancelled on Saturday due to heavy rain. A spin dropped Donohue back to ninth early in the race but he was able to charge back to 7th before turning over the driving duties to Darren Law.
